Teaching

Anna came out for a while in class today. She can’t teach. She couldn’t find anything. It was in its own way funny.

She’ll learn.

I think she was cooking last week. She can’t cook either.

Communication needs to improve, but the first step is always this. The first step is always a consciousness in an unfamiliar setting. It is first stepping out of the old, restrictive role, but without the full mixing that would allow for carrying out the unfamiliar role successfully. And, so, for some days, the curry is oversalted. Discipline in the class is not what it might be. Patience is called for.

At least it wasn’t Ruthie.
